Owrapel Rinascita Da Vinci
40% white Cotton
60% black Merino Wool
Width: 66cm (can stretch to 68cm after wear)
I have tried a 100% cotton Owrapel tester and a Owrapel with Alpaca this past year, this is the first Owrapel with merino wool I’ve got to try.
Owrapel is a German machine woven brand. They started with a stars design and you might recognize the apple design too.
This ‘Rinascita’ design is a Renaissance inspired design, classy and elegant.
Da Vinci is soft from the start, it feels just like I expect a woolie to feel. No itch, fluffy, soft, moldable.
It’s very easy to wrap with and has the typical wool-bounce.
This is a perfect choice for a tiny baby, a great winter wrap for your newborn.
It makes a great kangaroo carry & will make a rucksack carry comfortable on the shoulders too. It’s cushy!
With a heavier child I prefer a multilayer carry. If you love bounce and wrap tight you will like it in a rucksack carry too, but I think it shines in a double hammock.
Making the second backpass is very easy, tightening the chestpass is even easier…. This wrap feels like a warm hug!
Did you think that wraps with wool are only for the winter? Wrong! Allthough this one isn’t very suitable for the summer with the dark color, most wraps with wool are a good choice for the summer too.
Wool is temperature regulating, which means it will keep your child warm when it’s cold and will keep your child cooler when it’s warm outside.
Wool also stays/feels dry longer compared to other materials, so if it’s raining or snowing you won’t feel cold & wet soon!
This wrap makes me hope for some snow this winter!
