Yaro Slings ‘Turtle’
Yaro Slings is a new European brand that features a size 6 for €49 (some designs or materials will be a bit more expensive). I wrote a review on Yaro Slings ‘Shah’ a while ago. Shah is a solid working horse, supportive, grippy, a bit stiff at the beginning, but the more you wear it, the more you’ll love it! Turtle is very similar, but less grippy and a bit thinner (which still is medium thick, like Hoppediz)
Turtle is a medium weight wrap with a retro look. It’s very easy to wrap with, passes glide into place easily and when wrapped it stays put. After a couple of wears it’s already softening up and not stiff at all. I love the combination of its grip & softness, this wrap is supportive enough to wear your toddler and soft enough to use for your newborn.
I’ve tried Turtle in different carries, with both my toddler and my baby. I do prefer a multilayer carry for my toddler, but I have worn my toddler in a single layer carry over a longer period, with my baby in the front (tandemwearing) and the wrap stayed in place and even though I prefer more cush on my shoulder (sorry, spoiled with all the wool-blends!), my shoulders didn’t hurt.
It’s nice to see that there will be more wrap choices if you don’t want (or can’t) spend much on a wrap. If you don’t like the stripes of a Little Frog, you can chose a nice Yaro Slings design. ‘Turtle’ is available in two different color ways in the first preorder (and release), an earthy brown tone and a pretty sky blue. If you don’t like this design you can always take a look at the other designs. I love the butterflies!
