Summary:

Sagitta Aquarius is great for inexperienced babywearers because the passes glide into place and the wrap is very moldable.
It's great in one layer carries and will be the right choice if you're looking for a wrap to use with your toddler and a newborn.

Risaroo Sagitta Aquarius

50% mercerized cotton, 50% cotton – 280gr/m²

You might know Risaroo as a retailer for many European brands in the US. Just recently they started selling their own brand, woven and finished in the US.

Sagitta is latin for ‘arrow’, and looking at the wrap you can see why it’s called arrow. The design is subtle and elegant, the arrows line up in opposite directions.
The colors are a great choice! This wrap has a clear white warp with a bright blue weft and I think it will look very good on a summer day at the beach!

Sagitta Aquarius feels very smooth in hand but it isn’t very shiny (mercerized cotton often adds some shine to wraps).  After a wash it feels soft but strong.
It’s easy to wrap with and due to the smooth feeling a double hammock is my favorite carry with this wrap. I love it when the chest pass glides into place without any effort. It has the perfect ‘glide’ for a carry with a slipknot.

Both sides of the wrap are really beautiful, it has two totally different looks. I prefer the blue side, the shade is very bright and saturated. The white side is a perfect neutral. Despite the weight of 280g/m2, the wrap feels more like thinner medium-weight kind of wrap. You will notice quickly however that the wrap’s weight does show and also adds to the comfort when wearing. It’s great in one layer carries and will be the right choice if you’re looking for a wrap to use with your toddler and a newborn. The wrap is 71/72 cm wide, which is a nice width for a bigger wrappee.

This wrap isn’t very grippy, but makes a nice small knot so it doesn’t ”need” a knotless finish. With my toddler, I did prefer multi-layer carries. I think with a weight of 15kg+ a multilayer carry is the most comfortable way to carry her. With my younger daughter, I loved a Rucksack Tibetan.  It’s a nice carry to show both sides of the wrap (in the front)!

You can buy this wrap on risaroowovens.com. I think there are other colorways and blends coming up soon, too!
