Boutons pink lady
48% peruvian pima cotton 52% egyptian cotton
One year ago the brand Linuschka was mainly known for high quality handwoven wraps. But with the release of high quality machinewoven wraps in great blends and nice designs, Linuschka made itself well known as a machinewoven brand too. I’ve been testing three designs: owls, mermaids (petite sirène) and boutons.
Bouton is french for button, I’m not sure if that’s the reason for the name but I could see why.
The design looks like circles, the circles are striped and this gives the design a modern look.
This wrap has Linuschkas signature 100% peruvian pima cotton warp. Peruvian Pima cotton is an extra long staple (ELS) cotton, primarily grown in Peru. Pima cotton is shorter than egyptian cotton but it’s softer than normal cotton. The weft is 100% Egyptian Cotton and makes an even softer and stronger wrap.
This blend is soft from the bag, after a wash it will soften up even more. Most Linuschkas are on the thinner side, but this one is definitely supportive enough for your toddler. It’s a light, airy wrap, perfect for summer. It’s cushy and very moldable. It’s easy to wrap with, nice for beginners and suitable to use with a newborn baby.
Even in a rucksack carry it was very comfortable with my 9,5kg baby. The colour is a beautiful pink and this suits the pattern very well.
This is the perfect wrap for you if you like pink. You will love it if you are looking for a cushy, soft wrap with the perfect amount of stretch. If you’re wearing a heavy child, you might not like too much stretch, but I loved it in a double hammock with my big girl. It feels very supportive and doesn’t get saggy. This wrap makes a nice small knot and I think it would be perfect as a shorty for hip carries with a slipknot. (Yes, I love slipknots! 😉 )
This colourway has already been release, but hopefully there will be other boutons in the future. You might get lucky and find this one on the second hand market!
The releases are very limited, they sell on etsy, www.linuschka.de and the releases are announced on their Facebook page.
