Summary:

I’ve worn it in different carries, with my 13 month old and with my toddler. After the disappointing start I was surprised about the wrap not being diggy at all. It’s not soft, has no stretch and bounce, but it’s very stabile and I have worn my toddler in a Double Hammock over a longer period and it actually felt very supportive! I did find it to be too narrow for my toddler, she likes to cuddle herself up in the wrap when she’s tired.

Owrapel Applelicious Plum
100% Cotton, 220m²/g

Ever since the first posts on Facebook I was very curious to test this (German) brand.

The first designs are stars ‘starrytale’ and these apples ‘applelicious’.

This wrap has a deep eggplant colour, the apple design is very cute, but I think it would look better when the scale is adjusted (smaller apples).
On first touch the wrap was rougher and thinner than I expected. Applelicious is not extremely thin, just thinner then Kokadi or Natibaby all cotton, I would say it’s similar to Pollora if I had to pick a brand.  It’s very solid, I would have guessed it to be linen if I hadn’t knew better. This tester is very narrow (= around 60cm), but I owned a few other wraps with the same width and for a small baby that’s mostly no problem. This wrap needs a bit of breaking in, I’m really hoping that it will soften up quickly.
* please note: Owrapel informed me that the wraps will be a bit wider and thicker in the future.

I’ve worn my baby in FWCC, Rucksack tied Tibetan and DH. I love the grip, the wrap stayed perfectly in place on a long walk. On my pictures you can see that she felt very comfortable, she slept over hours.
I will test the thicker and wider wraps too before they are released, I hope that they are a bit softer from the start. I’m very lazy and I love it when wraps don’t need a lot of breaking in. 😉

Keep an eye on Owrapel’s facebook page for more information on upcoming releases!
