Joy and Joe Baby Fountain of Love
50%  Luxurious Italian combed cotton & 50% Mercerized cotton
198 gr/m²
Width: 70cm

Joy and Joe baby is a British brand. The wraps are woven in a factory in the North of England, with high quality yarns of British origin.
I have tried their ‘Luceo Non Uro’ wrap last summer and got the chance to try two new wraps; the ‘King of the birds’ (KOB) design, which I reviewed earlier, and the Fountain of Love (FoL) in pink!
FoL will be available in three different colourways, this one is my favourite but I love the black & white too.
You can read more about the design and colourways on the J&J blog.

If you’ve already tried J&J wraps before, you might think you know them. Both the KOB and Luceo Non Uro wraps had a smooth soft side and a more textured grippy side and the price is half of what this one costs…. Which probably makes you ask: Why? Is this one so different?
Yes it is!
J&J describes the weaves as ”Double weave with a broken twill weave effect and some technical weaving procedure that we call ‘the formula’ ”. They’ve worked with an expert team consisting of textile designers and engineers, scientists and babywearing consultants to create a unique weave with high quality yarns. The wraps also got a steam treatment which makes it even softer.
If you unpack this wrap you will never guess it’s only 198gr/m²! It feels luxurious and very fluffy!
The double weave makes it feel a bit thicker in hand, compared to the other J&J wraps I’ve tried.

Fountain of Love makes a great allrounder and is perfect for newbie wrappers because it requires no breaking in, is floppy & soft, easy to wrap with and not overly grippy!
Despite the low weight, it makes a great toddler wrap (don’t judge a wrap by those numbers!), even in a single layer carry.
A rucksack carry is actually my favourite with this wrap because it’s so cushy on the shoulders!
It’s very forgiving, even in a not-so-perfect wrapjob it’s still comfortable.

The weave is airy, so this wrap will make a great summer-shorty for your heavy toddler. (Which you can also use as a kangaroo wrap for single layer carries with your newborn this summer!)
The combination of combed cotton and mercerized cotton gives the wrap a luxurious appearance without being too shiny.
There are only limited number available, which will be sold through draws.

The fountain of love wraps are the first wraps of the J&J high end range and I am looking forward to see what else they will create!
