Summary:

This wrap is suitable for everyone who's looking for a nice, fun, all cotton summer wrap! Please be aware that it needs some work & love before it gets soft, but it won't take ages to break in though.
I think it will be great in every size, from RS to a size 7. A shorty would make a nice small package, easy to put in your bag.
Nevaeh is 100% cotton, easy to care for and you could even wash it on 60°C and throw it in the dryer if you like!

Ankalia Textiles is an Australian-made woven wrap company. They will be producing two lines: Fusion and Elements.
Their Fusion range features the finest yarns from around the world to ensure their wraps have the right cush, stretch, feel, and mouldability. The intricate designs featured in the Fusion range have all been designed by a team of Australian artisans who fuse together their life work and their own passion for babywearing.
The Elements range features classic yet modern designs made from durable soft cotton yarns. Their patterns are woven to create a sturdy but flexible carrier for even the most novice wearers. According to Ankalia their Elements range ”recognises that even new babywearers have a need for affordable yet high quality wraps.”

Nevaeh is a rainbow wrap with a modern appearance. I love the design and how it plays with the colours, giving it different depths and a true 3D effect. (The texture in this wrap is crazy!!)
Nevaeh is dense, a tight weave, in desperate need of a good (steam) iron after the first wash. If I wouldn’t have know that it’s 100% cotton, I might have thought it is a linen blend.
It’s on the thinner side of medium, but don’t underestimate this wrap, it’s very toddlerworthy!

Nevaeh belongs to the elements range, which is made with beginning wrappers in mind. It should be an affordable, but high quality and comfortable to wear woven wrap.
It’s not soft from the start, will need some breaking in before it softens up. Ironing = mandatory as the texture pops up after the initial wash.
The design gives the wrap a nice grip, but not too much grip – making high back passes is no problem.
This wrap doesn’t have a lot of cush, it’s rather flat on the shoulders. Still it feels very comfortable, even in a single layer carry.
The hemming is very narrow, compared to other brands. I was a bit afraid that it would dig/cut if you don’t wrap properly, but had no problems at all.

It’s supportive enough to use with a heavier child, even in a rucksack carry. If you love cush, this might not be the best choice for you.

The pre-order for Nevaeh is opening up very soon, take a look at the Ankalia website or their Facebook page for more information.
If you love packaging details, you’ll love the Ankalia packages. The Elements range comes in a calico tote with a small blackwood tag and the Fusion range even comes with a (Australian) blackwood tag with a poem on the back.
