Summary:

Perfect for summer! It's less supportive compared to wraps with cottolin or hemp, so a multilayer carry is the better choice for heavier kids, but for quick ups a rebozo carry is fine too. A meeyoo will be great for a newborn, very soft & not thick and bulky. It's easy to wrap with which makes it a great choice even for unexperienced wrappers.

** This is one of my private wraps, I might be a bit blinded by love & passion when writing this review ;) Sorry!

Meeyoo is a handwoven brand from the USA. I’ve already been lucky enough to test one of their wraps (Frida) and it made me feel in love with this brand.
The colourways are fun, well-coordinated, they stand out from the handwoven crowd. You will recognize a Meeyoo for sure!

Lou Lou was the third release, after Frida and Diego. There are at least two long wraps and this shorty. This shorty has a dark purple weft and was originally sold as a scrap piece (2,8m), the Meeyoo ladies were so kind to sew the hems for me which made it a perfect size 2!
Compared to Frida you can already see that the selvedges are more perfect. Lou Lou has the same stretch & glide, which makes it great for slipknot carries.
I’ve used Lou Lou for my ‘what can I do with a size 2’-tutorials because it’s so easy to wrap with. I think this shines through in the videos…
Just look how easy the passes glide in to place! It’s less suitable for knotless finishes, but that’s okay!

The un-mirrored colourway gives the wrap two looks. You can wear it with the pink/purple side up or with the blue/green side up and it will look completely different.
I love how lively the colours are, very pretty!
The wrap stretched with wearing, it measures 2.95m now and is perfectly soft. It was already soft from the start, no breaking in needed.
I didn’t spot any weaving flaws, I think the ladies at Meeyoo are perfectionists!

This wrap is perfect for the summer, I love to bring a shorty with me in my bag when my toddler decides she wants to walk. After a while she will get tired and I can grab my wrap.
You can fold this wrap to be a very small package, it will almost take no space in your bag. It’s thin, airy, great in hot weather!

I would love to own a longer Meeyoo too, but in the meantime this will keep me satisfied 😉
It’s pretty hard to get your hands on a Meeyoo, maybe you will get lucky in a draw!

Meeyoo sells wraps by draw on Facebook and sometimes they auction one on Hyenacart. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates on upcoming colourways!
